Fieldwork Status

ESCA RP field work is occurring in Parker Flats, where activity (link to map of current work areas) is proceeding from east to west. Please check back often for updated field maps.

ESCA field crews are working south of Gigling Road, west of Watkins Gate, north of Hay Rake Road and east of 8th Avenue. Crews are conducting investigations for Munitions and Explosives of Concern. Brush clearance work is being conducted in the area north of Eucalyptus Road and west of Parker Flats Cut Off Road. Please be aware of heavy equipment operation in this area.

The gates on Inter-Garrison Road east of Schoonover Avenue have been locked to try to stop the illegal dumping that has increased in that area. Inter-Garrison Road, east of the gate, is still open to bikers, hikers and equestrians.

Safety Access Corridors have been established through the ESCA parcels and signs are posted to help guide you safely to the BLM recreational areas. For your safety stay on paved roads, respect work area signage, and maintain posted speed limits, to prevent accidental contact with ESCA workers and equipment. Please see the information kiosks at major access points or the ESCA web site for information and maps.

For weekly updates or if you have a specific question regarding current field activities, please call the FORA ESCA RP Hotline at (831) 883-3506 or contact us via email at esca@fora.org.
